Greg Sestero was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he was influenced by his European parents and grew up speaking both French and English. He traveled extensively at a young age and holds dual citizenship between France and the United States.
At the age of 17, Greg signed with a prominent San Francisco talent agency and soon after, he left for Milan and Paris to work for renowned designers such as Giorgio Armani and Gian Franco Ferre. However, he eventually returned to the United States and focused on his acting career.
Greg began his acting studies at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and landed his first role at the age of 18 on the CBS hit show Nash Bridges in 1996. He went on to secure a role in the Golden Globe-nominated film Patch Adams in 1998, starring alongside fellow San Francisco native Robin Williams.
Following his success in Patch Adams, Greg was signed by well-known Hollywood agent Iris Burton, which prompted his move to Los Angeles.
