Greg Ivan Smith, a multi-talented individual, was born to English immigrants in Bangor, Maine. He pursued his passion for Fine Art by studying at Hartford Art School, University of Hartford, and Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy. His academic journey continued with a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the prestigious American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, California.
As a filmmaker, Smith has achieved remarkable success, with his work being showcased at over 75 film festivals worldwide. One of his notable short films, The Back Room, won the coveted "The Click List: Best in Short Film" award from LOGO TV, as well as the "Best of the Best: Romance" award in Season 8.
Smith's upcoming feature directorial debut, the psychological horror film Remission, was shot during the pandemic with his husband, actor Michael Fitzpatrick. The film was shot entirely alone in Amsterdam, New York, with the two of them taking on all cast and crew roles.
Beyond his work in film, Smith is an award-winning Standup Comedian based in Los Angeles, California. He has performed at numerous comedy festivals, including the San Diego Comedy Festival, the Portland Maine Comedy Festival, The Comedy Connection in Providence, Rhode Island, and several shows in his current hometown at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, California, The Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, California, and Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica, California. His standup comedy performance was also featured in the latimes.com, showcasing his work at the monthly VERDUGO HUUT in La Crescenta, California.
