Born in the charming town of South Amboy, New Jersey, Greg Evigan spent his formative years in the neighboring community of Sayreville. It was during his high school days that he gained widespread recognition for his outstanding performance as Cornelius Hackl in the production of Hello Dolly, which proudly took home the prestigious New Jersey High School Musical Contest award.
Following his graduation from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 1971, Greg auditioned for and secured a part in the iconic Broadway show "Jesus Christ Superstar" just one month later. Additionally, he joined the cast of a touring company, taking on the lead role in the beloved musical "Grease".
Since the mid-1970s, Greg Evigan has accumulated an impressive repertoire of over 100 acting credits. His most notable television roles include B.J. and the Bear (1978) and My Two Dads (1987),both of which initially garnered significant ratings but ultimately suffered from declining viewership and concluded after three seasons. Greg had the distinction of singing the opening theme on both series.
He is also recognized for his work on TekWar (1994) and Masquerade (1983),both of which were short-lived but memorable series. Greg's family is also deeply rooted in the entertainment industry, with his daughters Briana Evigan and Vanessa Evigan both pursuing careers in acting, and his son Jason Evigan working as a singer/songwriter.
