Biography

Gordon Hart was born in Calgary, Alberta, a city with a rich cultural heritage, to a family of dancers who have been an integral part of the community. His mother, Maureen Hart, was one of the original "Young Canadians" of the legendary Calgary Stampede, a prestigious event that showcases the best of Canadian talent. Gordon received the majority of his dance training from his mother, who was instrumental in shaping his skills, but he also studied at the National Ballet School of Canada, a renowned institution that has produced some of the world's most talented dancers.

Gordon's exceptional dance abilities and dedication earned him a reputation as a highly skilled dancer for his age, catching the attention of tap legend Gregory Hines. In 1992, Hines invited Gordon to perform with him on stage at the Royal Theater in Victoria, British Columbia, a testament to Gordon's incredible talent. At the age of 17, Gordon landed his first professional job with Princess Cruise Lines, where he danced in their award-winning on-board production shows. This was followed by dance scholarships from screen legend Debbie Reynolds and choreographer Joe Tremaine, which further solidified his position as a rising star in the dance world.

In 1996, Gordon was one of only two recipients of the prestigious Bob Fosse Scholarship, awarded under the supervision of Gwen Verdon and presented by Paula Abdul at the Fosse Awards, now known as the American Choreography Awards. Throughout his career, Gordon has danced in commercials for several prominent brands, including eBay, Pace Pincante Salsa Sauce, GE, Visa, Bacardi, Salon.com, and Mervyn's.
