Biography

Misawa, a renowned Japanese musician, was born on the island of Kyushu, Japan. His early career as a baritone in the vocal quartet "the Four Coins" was marked by success, with the group touring the US for six months in the early 1960s under the name "the Tokyo Four".

Following the untimely death of a group member in the early 1970s, the quartet disbanded, and Misawa embarked on a new career path as a composer and arranger. He focused primarily on creating commercial jingles, earning an international Cleo award for a soap commercial jingle, as well as TV theme songs.

Misawa's impressive discography includes two gold records for the Japanese TV drama series "Attention, Please", which revolved around flight attendants, and "Sign wa V", a show centered around women volleyball players. After relocating to Hawaii in 1976, he continued to hone his music career.

In the early 1980s, Misawa made the move to California, where he eventually transitioned into working in the film and television industry.
