Gioele Rotini, a multifaceted Italian actor, was born on February 14th, 1986, in Rome, Italy. His father, Roberto, was a skilled mechanic, while his mother, Rosalba, was an Italian teacher who instilled in him a love for education. Gioele has an older sister, Alice, and was fortunate to have a supportive family that encouraged his passion for the arts.
From a young age, Gioele attended acting classes every year, starting from primary school, and also took piano lessons during his middle school years. His creative pursuits didn't stop there, as he was also fond of writing poetry and composing rap lyrics. This early exposure to various art forms laid the foundation for his future endeavors.
After graduating from Classical High School in 2005, Gioele decided to forgo university to pursue more challenging acting studies. To support himself, he worked as a waiter, barman, and museum keeper. His dedication to his craft paid off when he made his professional acting debut in 2009 with the cult theatrical show "Le Belle Notti" directed by Claudio Boccaccini.
Gioele's impressive stage career has seen him work on numerous productions, including plays by renowned authors such as William Shakespeare, Bertolt Brecht, Anton Chekhov, Woody Allen, Luigi Pirandello, Carlo Goldoni, and contemporary writers like Gianni Clementi, Antonio Grosso, Riccardo Barbera, and Rosalinda Conti.
In addition to his stage work, Gioele has also appeared on screen, starring in a docu-fiction for RAI in 2012 and Paolo Virzì's "Notti Magiche" in 2018. His most recent on-screen credits include Steve Zaillian's "Talented Mr. Ripley" alongside Andrew Scott, released in December 2021.
In 2021, Gioele was cast in the Amazon Studios and Cross Productions television series "Prisma" directed by Ludovico Bessegato. Following this experience, he has continued to thrive on stage, performing in seven different plays directed by esteemed professionals such as Leonardo Buttaroni, Matteo Ziglio, Barbara Chiesa, and Nicola Pistoia. Next season, he will embark on a new national tour with the production "Una Compagnia di Pazzi" directed by Nicola Pistoia.
