Gini Eastwood, a captivating brunette actress and singer, has been fascinated by acting and singing since her childhood. At the tender age of four, she made her stage debut as a bonbon to the Sugar Plum Fairy in a dance school production of "The Nutcracker Suite." Throughout her early years, Eastwood received training in various artistic disciplines, including dance, violin, guitar, and acrobatics.
As she grew older, her parents sent her to a drama camp summer theatre run by Columbia Pictures at the age of twelve. This marked the beginning of her formal training in the performing arts. Eastwood was subsequently added to the Talent Farm Stable and spent two additional summers honing her craft through lessons, performances, and a backstage apprenticeship.
While still in high school in upstate New York, Eastwood released the modestly successful single "With the World at My Feet" on the Tower Records label. This early success paved the way for her future endeavors in the entertainment industry.
Eastwood's career trajectory took her on a tour with the 1960's folk group The New Christy Minstrels and led to the recording of a couple of albums with the psychedelic rock band the Hobbits. She also had the opportunity to portray Mary Magdalene in the original concert tour of the hit musical "Jesus Christ, Superstar" and acted in a May 1972 Broadway stage production of the rock opera "Hard Job Being God."
In addition to her work in music and theatre, Eastwood worked as a studio session singer, lending her golden voice to various projects, including a stint as the voice of McDonald's. Her film debut came in 1968 with the obscure feature "The Wanted Ones," which was shot in Spain.
Eastwood's most notable performance to date is her role as Maureen, an intense, brooding, and mysterious hippie chick, in the 1970's drive-in cult oddity "Pick-up" (1975). Following her turn as the lead in "Pick-up," Eastwood continued to work in the music industry, taking on session work and singing commercial jingles.
Although she has not pursued a full-time acting career, Eastwood still occasionally appears in community theatre productions and works as a singing aerobics instructor.
