Gina Faarup Cochez, a multifaceted individual, was born and raised in Panama. Her professional journey has been marked by versatility, as she is both a Producer and Actress, with a notable role in the 2019 film "Todos Cambiamos" ("Everybody Changes").
Her educational background includes a degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated from the Wharton School of Business with a double major in Finance and Management. Prior to redefining her career, Gina worked in the banking industry in New York and Panama.
In 2011, she made a significant career shift, transitioning to a Theatre Producer and Actress in Panama. During this period, she produced several notable musicals, including Chicago, Evita, Cats, Mamma Mia, Sound of Music, Shrek, and Jesus Christ Superstar. As an actress, she has had the opportunity to portray iconic roles such as Roxie Hart in Chicago, Evita in Evita, and Maria in The Sound of Music.
In 2019, Gina made her film debut in the Panamanian film "Todos Cambiamos" ("Everybody Changes"),where she played the role of Mariana, a psychiatrist. She also served as a producer on the film, which was selected as Panama's Official Entry for the Academy Awards 2020 in the International Feature Film category.
In addition to her film work, Gina has appeared in the TV Mini-Series "En el Corredor de la Muerte" for Bambú Producciones, where she played the role of Mariana.
As the CEO of GC Films, a film production company based in Panama, Gina has demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to the film industry. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, reflecting her cultural and linguistic versatility.
