As a child, Gilly's innate curiosity and love for physical activity led him to discover the world of circus arts. He trained at the prestigious Scottish Circus School, mastering the art of trapeze and acrobatics, skills that would later serve him well in his theatrical pursuits.
Gilly's passion for the performing arts continued to grow, and he went on to attend the renowned Theatre Workshop/Film Workshop in Edinburgh, as well as the esteemed Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
