Born in Jordan, Albuliwi spent his formative years in Brooklyn, where he discovered his passion for stand-up comedy at the tender age of seventeen. This marked the beginning of his illustrious career, as he soon found himself performing at esteemed clubs throughout New York City.
As his star continued to rise, Albuliwi's autobiographical film, "West Bank Brooklyn," caught the attention of the AFI Film Festival in Los Angeles, where it made its world premiere. The film went on to become a hit on the festival circuit, playing at notable events such as Gen Art and other national festivals.
This impressive run earned Albuliwi recognition from Filmmaker Magazine, who named him one of the 'Top 25 New Faces of Indie film.' He would go on to write, direct, and star in his latest feature comedy, "Peace after Marriage," which won the prestigious 'Creative Promise Award' at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Albuliwi's impressive credentials continued to grow, as he was awarded The Kevin Spacey Foundation 2015 'Artist of Choice Award' in theater for his comedic feature-length play, "Highly Suspect." Additionally, he was a finalist for the 2015 Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' esteemed Nicholl Fellowship for his comedy screenplay, 'Arafat.'
