Born on April 20, 1966, in Pretoria, South Africa, this individual embarked on a journey that would shape his future.
After completing high school in 1983, he fulfilled his compulsory military service, spending two years serving his country.
The following year, he took a leap of faith and ventured to the United States of America, where he spent some time exploring the vast landscape.
In 1987, he enrolled in the Drama school at the University of Pretoria, where he graduated in 1989. This marked the beginning of his foray into the world of theatre.
He joined the CAPAB drama company, performing in various productions, including Shakespearean plays, comedies, and dramas. His stint with the company lasted for a year before he decided to take the reins and start his own theatre company, Makeshift Moon, which specialized in original South African works.
As a gutsy actor and outspoken opponent to the Apartheid regime, he gained notoriety and recognition for his unwavering stance.
In 1991, he began to develop an interest in film, taking on lead and supporting roles in numerous productions over the next decade.
His dedication and passion for the craft led him to become the youngest head of a drama school in the history of South African drama schools, at City Varsity in Cape Town, in 1998.
Throughout his illustrious career, he has had the privilege of working with renowned actors such as Dennis Hopper, Peter Weller, and Brian Brown.
Upcoming projects include his roles in the Disney feature film, The Young Black Stallion (2002),and the Dutch film, Adrenaline (2003).
