Biography

American film producer-writer-executive, renowned for his captivating work in the entertainment industry, left an indelible mark with his semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story, Crazy Times (1981),a poignant reflection of his own adolescence set in the vibrant borough of Queens, New York.

Throughout his illustrious career, he excelled as an attorney and executive, holding esteemed positions at prominent organizations such as New World Television, American-International Pictures, Triad Artists, and the esteemed ABC television network.

A devoted animal lover, he dedicated a significant portion of his time and energy to championing pro-animal causes, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew him.

Sadly, his life was cut short by a long illness with prostate cancer, which ultimately took his life in the comfort of his West Los Angeles home. He is survived by his loving daughter, Dawn, and his talented son, producer-director Matt Reeves, who continues to carry on his father's creative legacy.
