As his artistic endeavors continued to flourish, Figgs transitioned into the film industry as a dailies projectionist, collaborating with renowned professionals such as the acclaimed cinematographer Sven Nykvist, talented actress Jodie Foster, and visionary director Terry Gilliam, among others.

In addition to his work behind the scenes, Figgs also ventured into entrepreneurship, proudly owning and operating the Orpheum Cinema in Baltimore City's vibrant Fell's Point neighborhood from 1991 to 1999.
