Biography

Gavin is a renowned Irish actor, celebrated for his remarkable portrayals of real-life individuals. His impressive repertoire includes the role of Northumbria Police Chief, Steve Neill, in the gripping drama "The Hunt for Raoul Moat" (2023),as well as his critically acclaimed performance as Sean Doherty opposite Aidan Gillen in "Charlie" (2015).

In 2016, Gavin took on the iconic role of Irish rebellion leader, Patrick Pearse, in the PBS production "The Bloody Irish" (2015). He also played Murphy in the Paramount series "The Alienist" (2018),opposite Dakota Fanning, Luke Evans, and Daniel Brühl.

Gavin's extensive television credits include his appearances as Uthred Of East Anglia in two seasons of Netflix/MGM's hit series "Vikings: Valhalla" (2022). He has also played the Earl Of Shrewsbury alongside Henry Cavill and Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the worldwide hit series "The Tudors" (2007) for Showtime.

In addition, Gavin has appeared as John McCarthy opposite Carice van Houten in the French horror film "Dorothy Mills" (2008) and as Detective Duffy in the drama "The Front Line" (2006).

Gavin's writing and producing skills were showcased in his film "Blink" (2014),which was nominated in the World Competition at the Montreal World Film Festival.
