Biography

Gary Owens, a renowned American voice actor, radio announcer, and narrator, left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry with his iconic voice work, most notably as the original voice actor for Hanna-Barbera's beloved cartoon characters. His impressive repertoire includes the iconic Space Ghost, the eccentric Powdered Toast Man from The Ren & Stimpy Show, and the superhero Blue Falcon from the animated series Dynomutt, Dog Wonder.

However, Owens' legacy as the voice of Space Ghost came to an end in 1994, when George Lowe took over the role, carrying on the character's spirit and charm. Owens' passing in February 2015 was a poignant reminder of the impact his voice had on generations of fans, as well as the devastating effects of diabetes complications.
