Gary Bullock was born on July 19, 1941, in Elizabethton, Tennessee. His father, Robert Bullock, was a great movie enthusiast, which exposed Gary to a wide range of films from a young age. He watched classic movies featuring iconic actors such as Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, and Roy Rogers.
Gary's interest in acting was sparked early on, but he initially pursued a career in computer programming. He worked at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and the Millstone Radar site in New England before abandoning that path to become an actor later in life.
Gary met his wife, Mil Nicholson, during a stage production of Arthur Miller's play "The Crucible". Together, they now record audiobooks, with Mil performing all the characters in Charles Dickens' novels.
Gary Bullock has also worked on various projects, including narrating a documentary about the 325th Fighter Group during World War II, titled "The Checkertails". He has written two screenplays: "Elsewhen", a sci-fi romance based on his novel "The Elsewhen Gene", and "Ridge Runner", which is described as a true Civil War story.
In his free time, Gary is an avid model aircraft builder and pilot. He has constructed and flown over three dozen model planes, and the number is continually growing.
