Gabriele Mainetti, a multifaceted Italian creative, was born on November 7, 1976. He is a talented actor, director, composer, and film producer, with a passion for storytelling.

Gabriele's journey in the world of performing arts began with formal education at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York, where he honed his skills in directing, screenwriting, and cinematography. He also refined his acting abilities under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as Beatrice Bracco, Francesca De Sapio, Nikolaj Karpov, Irina Promptova, and Michael Margotta in Italy.

Gabriele's early career took off in the theatre, with his first professional performances dating back to 1998. He went on to play pivotal roles in various films and television shows, including "Stiamo bene insieme," "La omicidi," "Briciole," "Rapidamente," "Il cielo in una stanza," "Un altro anno e poco più," and others.

As his reputation grew, Gabriele shifted his focus to short film direction, achieving significant success with his critically acclaimed works. His 2012 release, "Tiger Boy," won numerous prestigious awards worldwide, including the Renault Award for Best International Short Film at the Flickerfest International Film Festival 2013 in Australia and the Grand Prix du Film Court de la Ville de Brest at the 27th Brest European Short Film Festival in France.

"Tiger Boy" also competed at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, where it was the only European short film selected. This achievement was followed by a string of notable Italian awards, including the Nastri d'argento 2013 for Best Short Film and a nomination for the Globi D'oro 2012 and the David di Donatello 2012. The film took second place at the Giffoni Film Festival 2012.

Gabriele's previous short film, "Basette" (also known as "Sideburns"),premiered in 2008 and participated in over 50 film festivals, including the prestigious Locarno Film Festival. This critically acclaimed short film received the Nastri d'Argento 2008 prize for Best Actors (Daniele Liotti and Luisa Ranieri) and a Special Mention for Best Screenplay (Nicola Guaglianone). "Basette" also won the Best Short Film award at the Festival del Corto della 25 ora, a popular Italian television program.

Currently, Gabriele is preparing his first feature film, a testament to his versatility and dedication to the art of storytelling.
