Fedor Bondarchuk is a renowned Russian film director, producer, and actor. He is the founder and co-founder of Art Pictures Studio production company, general producer of NMG Studio company, Chairman of the Directors Board of Lenfilm Production Studio, and founder of Industry Film and Television School.
Bondarchuk has directed two successful domestic war dramas: "The 9th Company" (2005) and "Stalingrad" (2013). The latter became one of the highest-grossing films in Russian history and gained over $67 million worldwide. He also directed the sci-fi blockbuster "Attraction" (2019),which became one of the top-grossing Russian films and earned over one billion rubles in Russia and CIS.
As a producer, Bondarchuk has worked on numerous projects, including the Russian box-office hits "Ice" (2007),"Heat" (2010),"Soulless" (2013),and "Soulless-2" (2015). His production company, Art Pictures Studio, has produced over 50 Russian and international award-winning films and has earned over $200 million in movie theaters.
Bondarchuk is also the founder of Industry Film and Television School, which aims to form a new generation of professionals in the Russian film industry. The school offers various training programs in filmmaking, cinematography, and VFX production.
As an actor, Bondarchuk has played over 70 roles in movies and TV projects of various genres. He is a two-time winner of the Golden Eagle awards for his leading roles in "Two Days" (2012) and "Ghost" (2015). He has also hosted his own TV show "Cinema in Details" on STS channel since 2005.
Bondarchuk has received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to the Russian film industry. He is the Chairman of Trustees Board of Open Russian Film Festival "Kinotavr", a member of "Nika" Russian Academy of Cinema Arts and Sciences, and a member of "Golden Eagle" National Academy of Cinema Arts and Sciences of Russia. He was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky in 2018 for his contribution to the development of national culture and arts.
