Friedrich Salomon Perls, commonly referred to as Fritz Perls, was a renowned German-born psychiatrist and psychotherapist of great distinction. He is particularly notable for having introduced the term "Gestalt therapy" to describe the innovative form of psychotherapy that he co-created with his wife, Laura Perls, during the 1940s and 1950s.
