Frederick Leonard Clark, known professionally as Fred Clark, was a talented actor born on March 19, 1914, in Lincoln, California. He was the son of Frederick Clark, a county agriculture commissioner, and Stella (née Bruce) Clark. Fred's initial interest was in medicine, and he pursued his pre-med studies at Stanford University. However, a chance role in the college play "Yellow Jack" changed the course of his destiny.
