Biography

Frank Bonsangue, also known as Frankie the Butcher, was born and raised in the vibrant neighborhood of Astoria, Queens. With a strong foundation in the meat industry, Frank's family has been in the business since 1910, operating the North Pole Meat Market in the heart of Greenwich Village. However, Frank's passion for acting and food led him to leave the family business in 1988 and pursue a new path.

Frank's journey in the entertainment industry began with a broadcasting course at announcer training studios, where he discovered his acting talent. He then took various acting classes throughout the city, including Stella Adler's Acting Conservatory, Michael Howard Studio, and Young Actors Workshop, where he studied with acting coach and former high school English teacher Bernard Rachel.

Frank's early acting career included Off-Broadway plays and dinner theater, such as Tony and Tina's Wedding. He also co-wrote and starred in the Off-Broadway dinner theater show, The Godfather's Messhugener Wedding, which ran for five years.

Frank started acting professionally in 1995 and has since appeared in numerous films, TV shows, and commercials. One of his most notable roles was as a series regular on the Food Network's Hot Off the Grill Show with Bobby Flay, where he showcased his expertise as a butcher and co-host.

When not acting, Frank works as a Teamster in the Theatrical 817 local union. He still occasionally works as a butcher, particularly during the holidays, and is grateful to be able to combine his passions into a fulfilling career.

Frank's love for Italian music and food is evident, and he is grateful to God for making his dreams a reality. With a strong work ethic and determination, Frank has built a successful career in the entertainment industry, and he continues to pursue his passions with enthusiasm and dedication.
