Francis Cruz is a multifaceted artist, exceling in various fields such as acting, voice over, and theatrical production. Born on November 29, 1967, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Cruz's journey in the performing arts began in 1994 under the guidance of Germana Quintana, where he served as Assistant Director and Lights for the Theatre Company Club Arroyo in the production "Educando a un Sinvergüenza".
Cruz's acting career took off in 1995 when the same director assigned him his first acting role in "Monja o Detective". Since then, he has worked on an impressive array of projects, including 21 plays, 20 feature films, 4 short films, 3 mini TV series, one short for the internet, 3 industrial shorts, one voice commercial for Radio, and 5 TV commercials.
Throughout his career, Cruz has honed his skills in various acting techniques, stage space, creativity, management of voice, voice-over dubbing, singing, building characters, and more. He has also had the privilege of studying at the International School of Film and Television of San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba, where he trained in the "Technical Meisner / Mamet for Directors and Actors" program under the guidance of renowned professors Stephen Bayle and Mary Gowland.
In 2013, Cruz founded "Hutia Productions", which saw the successful theatrical production of "Visiting Mr. Green", starring alongside Ivan Garcia, and earning three nominations for the "Soberano's Awards" in the Dominican Republic.
Throughout his career, Cruz has had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of directors, including Angel Muniz, Otto W. Retzer, Juan Basanta, Luisito Martí, Archie López, Alfonso Rodriguez, Javier Balaguer, Cesar Rodriguez, Neri Parentis, Fernando Báez Mella, Jose Enrique Pintor, Vicenzo Marano, Ronnie Oscar Castillo, Ernesto Alemany, and Vicenzo Marano, among others.
