Flavio Insinna, born on July 3rd, 1965, in Rome, Italy, began his journey in the world of acting at a young age. He attended the Italian Liceo Classico high school in Rome, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors. Following his high school education, Flavio pursued his passion for acting at Gigi Proietti's Laboratorio, a renowned acting school in Rome.
At the tender age of 15, Flavio had the opportunity to witness one of Gigi Proietti's performances in Rome, which left a lasting impression on him. This encounter sparked his interest in the world of theatre, and he soon found himself enrolled in Proietti's school, where he learned the art of acting under the guidance of his mentor.
Flavio's experiences in the entertainment industry are diverse and extensive. He began his career with a series titled "Uno di Noi" and went on to juggle between theatre, television, and cinema. He has had the privilege of starring in several notable productions, including the television series "Figli di Annibale" in 1997 and the movie "Maria Goretti," where he played the role of Don Basilio, a priest.
However, Flavio's most notable and enduring role to date is that of Captain Flavio Anceschi in the television series "Don Matteo." The series, produced by "Lux Vide," has now reached its fourth season, and Flavio is still actively involved in the production. In addition to his work in television, Flavio is also a talented theatre performer and has co-produced his own show, "La Banda" ("The Band"),which he is currently touring with.
