Biography

Fiona hails from the picturesque region of Argyll and Bute, situated on the western coast of Scotland, where the rugged beauty of the landscape is mirrored by the warmth and hospitality of its people.

Her artistic journey began at the esteemed Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, where she honed her craft under the guidance of seasoned professionals. Since then, she has had the privilege of working extensively in theatre across the United Kingdom and Ireland, gracing the stages of numerous esteemed institutions.

Some of her most notable roles have included the complex and multifaceted character of Martha in the production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf for The Gate Theatre in Dublin, as well as the iconic and powerful Gertrude in Yael Farber's innovative staging of Hamlet, also at The Gate.

In addition to her impressive theatre credits, Fiona has also made a name for herself in the realm of television and film, with notable appearances in the popular shows Soldier Soldier, Trainspotting, Gregory's 2 Girls, and Jack Taylor, as well as her most recent role in the critically acclaimed BBC series Shetland.
