Native of Vancouver, British Columbia, actor Finn Wolfhard is best known for his role as Mike Wheeler in the critically acclaimed Netflix Original Series Stranger Things (2016). The show has received numerous accolades, including a Screen Actors Guild Award, two MTV Movie & TV Awards, an AFI award, and a Golden Globe nomination.
Wolfhard's early career began with a role in the 2013 independent film Aftermath. He went on to appear in more independent films, such as The Resurrection, before landing roles on television shows The 100 (2014) and Supernatural.
In 2017, Wolfhard made his big-screen debut in the film adaptation of Stephen King's novel It, playing the lead role of Ritchie Tozier. The film broke opening weekend box office records and became the highest-grossing horror movie ever. Wolfhard also starred in Dog Days (2018) alongside Vanessa Hudgens and Nina Dobrev.
Wolfhard's other notable roles include the Netflix animated series "Carmen Sandiego," in which he voices the character of Carlos "The Shadow" Hanuman, and the blockbuster sequel It: Chapter Two (2019). He has also appeared in the films The Turning (2020) and Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021).
In addition to his acting career, Wolfhard is a musician and the lead singer of the garage-rock band Calpurnia. The band released their debut EP in June 2018 and toured across North America and Europe. In 2019, Wolfhard and drummer Malcolm Craig formed The Aubreys and released their first official EP, "Soda & Pie," in March 2020.
Wolfhard has also used his platform to raise funds for Sweet Relief, an organization that helps musicians in need.
