Fernando Gayesky, a cinematic visionary, was born in the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and later relocated to New York to pursue his passion for Film Production and Cinematography at the prestigious New School/Parsons School of Design.
As he began his journey in the film industry, Fernando joined the esteemed International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600, and worked his way up the camera department alongside renowned directors and DPs, including the innovative Michel Gondry, the acclaimed Ang Lee, the daring John Cameron Mitchell, the skilled Eric Gautier, and the accomplished Ellen Kuras, among others.
With his talent and experience growing, Fernando started his career as a cinematographer, shooting a variety of projects, including short films and music videos, mostly in the captivating city of Barcelona. He also ventured into documentary filmmaking, capturing the beauty and essence of exotic locations such as Trinidad and Tobago, Malaysia, Panama, India, and many more.
Today, Fernando splits his time between his homes in Barcelona and New York, proudly holding a US passport and European residence. He brings his unique perspective, honed from a life of travel and work, to his current projects, which include commercials, branded content, fashion films, and music videos for prominent brands like Nike, Dom Perignon, Lacoste, Vodafone, and others.
Fernando's collaborations with directors such as Matthew Frost, Andy Muschietti, Kinopravda, Christopher Anderson, Julio Del Alamo, Rick Guest, and Billy Kidd have been nothing short of remarkable. However, his true passion lies in shooting fiction projects, where he can pour his heart and soul into bringing the director's vision to life, using his exceptional skills and attention to detail to create visually stunning and captivating stories.
