Fard Muhammad's life began in Chicago, Illinois, where his early years were marked by a profound fascination with video games, comedy, broadcasting, and computer graphics. This diverse array of interests would lay the groundwork for his future endeavors.
Fard's academic pursuits led him to graduate from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in computer science, followed by a master's degree in computer graphics and animation from DePaul University in 2008.
However, it wasn't until 2011 that Fard's passion for acting and performance began to take center stage. He took improvisation classes in the Chicago suburbs and started performing in local sketch comedy shows, eventually branching out into stand-up comedy.
As his acting career gained momentum, Fard began collaborating with the "Nostalgia Critic" crew from Channel Awesome in 2013. He would go on to create the intro sequences for the Critic series, solidifying his reputation as a talented behind-the-scenes artist.
Throughout his career, Fard has worked with a variety of current and former Channel Awesome collaborators on numerous projects. His vocal talents have also been showcased as the opening/closing announcer for the "Dennis Miller Option" podcast since 2018.
In 2020, Fard lent his voice to the live-streamed shows "IsoLate Night with Scott Rogowsky" and Ian Abramson's "Saturday Night Quarantine". He continued to hone his hosting skills in 2023, when he hosted an unofficial edition of the mobile game "HQ Trivia", and went on to host additional unauthorized games under the "HQTV" moniker through 2025.
Today, Fard resides in Los Angeles with his wife and, surprisingly, zero cats.
