Born in the year 1933, this renowned individual embarked on a remarkable journey in the realm of journalism, commencing his career in 1948. His literary prowess soon became apparent, as he published a collection of short stories titled "On the Road", showcasing his mastery of the written word.
In addition to his literary endeavors, he also penned a novel, "She Was a Virgin", which was published in 1952, further solidifying his reputation as a talented wordsmith. Prior to transitioning to the world of cinema, he acquired a distinction in directing and editing for television from the esteemed institution of Vienna.
He then went on to work as a director for Baghdad TV in 1958, showcasing his versatility and adaptability. This was followed by a stint as a director for East Germany TV, where he worked from 1959 to 1962, honing his skills and building his reputation.
At the end of 1965, he took on a new challenge, working as a director for Syrian TV, where he continued to hone his craft and build his portfolio. His hard work and dedication eventually led him to the world of feature films, where he directed a number of documentaries and approximately ten feature films, including the critically acclaimed "The River" (1977) and "The Sniper" (1979).
His impressive repertoire also includes several television series, including "Gold Dinars" and "The Blue Book", demonstrating his ability to excel in a variety of mediums. His most notable work, however, remains the film "The Head" (1976),which cemented his status as a master filmmaker in the world of Iraqi cinema.
