Fabiana Formica's journey in the world of acting began at the tender age of 11, when she took her first steps in Mr. Gilbody's acting class. Her childhood diary entry from that time still resonates with her, as she wrote: "Theatre class makes me feel like I can play and forget about everything else in my life."
As she grew older, Fabiana's name became synonymous with the horror genre, thanks to her iconic role as "Valentina" in the 1994 film "Dellamorte Dellamore," also known as "Cemetery Man." The film's cult classic status cemented her place as one of the most recognizable zombie talking heads in horror.
Despite her passion for acting, Fabiana had a broader vision for her career and sought to make a positive impact on society. To achieve this, she balanced her freelance career in video journalism with her love for acting. Throughout her journey, Fabiana has performed, lived, and trained in various cities, including Rome, London, Barcelona, and Los Angeles.
In Barcelona, Fabiana collaborated with a group of 11 Catalan artists to form the artist collective "DeLimits." Together, they created a performance piece that earned a one-year residency at the prestigious Sala Beckett. In Rome, she took on the role of French-Algerian writer Marie Cardinal in a one-woman show inspired by Cardinal's autobiographical book, "The Words to Say It." The performance aimed to raise awareness about mental illness, depression, psychoanalysis, and trauma.
Fabiana is also an English literature student at Los Angeles City College and is set to make her writing debut with her memoir in 2024.
Throughout her career, Fabiana has cherished each role she has played, and her favorites include: "Valentina" in "Dellamorte Dellamore"; "Willie" in "This Property is Condemned"; Nina in "Moonfleece"; Saint Bridget in "Saint Bridget of Sweden"; Helena in "Ya sé por qué ardiò Troya"; Marie Cardinal in "The Words to Say It"; and the Sphinx in "araoke."
