Evelin Pang is arguably one of the most gifted and promising young actresses in Estonia, with a career spanning over two decades. Born on May 22, 1980, in Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia, she has spent her entire life in this vibrant metropolis. Her early education took place at Tallinn's 21st School, where she initially demonstrated a strong interest in mathematics. However, her passion for basketball soon surpassed her academic pursuits, leading her to leave the school in 10th grade. After re-taking her maths' tests, Evelin enrolled in Tallinn's 49th School (currently ARTE's Gymnasium),graduating in 1998. The same year, she began her studies at the Estonian Academy of Music's Higher Theater School under the guidance of renowned director Elmo Nüganen.
This unexpected career choice surprised many who knew Evelin, as she had always been associated with music. She had learned piano at Tallinn's Children's Music School and possessed a beautiful singing voice. Nevertheless, the Estonian Academy of Music's Higher Theater School proved to be a fortunate choice, as Evelin participated in Tallinn City Theater projects from her first course, typically reserved for third-year students. The grand finale of her XX Course was the film "Names Engraved in Marble" (2002),in which she shared the stage with 14 other talented young actors and actresses.
Since 2002, Evelin has been working at Tallinn City Theater, where six of her fellow graduates, including her close friend Hele Kõrve, have also found employment. During her time at the academy, she met her future husband, Priit Võigemast, in 2002. The couple tied the knot on July 29, 2005. Evelin's remarkable voice has led to a variety of roles, including Betty Rizzo in the Estonian adaptation of "Grease," Pille in the musical-play "Kaotajad" by Jaan Tätte, and the leading role in "Rise and Fall of the Silent Voice."
