Eugenie Bondurant's extensive and eclectic career has spanned multiple mediums, including runway modeling, film, and television, showcasing her versatility and range as an artist.
She first made a name for herself in the fashion world, walking the runways of New York and Paris, before transitioning to featured roles in film and television. Her breakout role came as the enigmatic and captivating "Tigris" in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, followed by her recent appearance in The School Duel, which premiered at the 2024 50th Deauville Film Festival.
Bondurant's performance as the mysterious villain "Azarel" in Marvel's Werewolf By Night, directed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino, left critics impressed, with many noting her ability to convey a sense of quiet menace.
In the indie film Fear of Rain, she worked alongside Harry Connick Jr. and Madison Iseman, taking on the role of "Dani McConnell," which was originally written for a male character. The Artful Critic praised her performance, stating that she might make the most impression, while The Guardian noted that her androgynous face was "frail and caring" in one light and "menacing as hell" in another.
Bondurant also played the role of "Isla," the Occultist, in The Conjuring - The Devil Made Me Do It opposite Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, earning widespread acclaim for her performance as the film's evil antagonist.
Her work in The Conjuring led to an invitation from award-winning fashion designer Denma, who was inspired by her performance and asked her to walk in his 2021 fall show for Balenciaga. This marked the beginning of her collaboration with the brand, which included appearances in five shows during the '21-'22 season.
Early in her career, Bondurant was "discovered" on the streets of her hometown, New Orleans, after a bout with cancer left her looking especially exotic and androgynous. She soon became a working model in the U.S. and Europe, and a modeling trip to Los Angeles led to an acting career that has included a string of unique and memorable characters in TV and film.
Additional credits include the AMC series Interview With The Vampire, indie films Summer Camp, Popular Theory, The School Duel, and 115 Grains, as well as her work as a voice-over artist.
When not working on a film set, modeling, or doing voice-overs, Bondurant can be found as the head honcho at her acting studio, Station 12 Studio at Green Light Cinema, or performing cabaret as the "Elegant Chanteuse" with the sultry voice of Paul Wilborn.
As a well-known On-Camera and Meisner Acting Coach, Bondurant loves teaching acting at Station 12 Studio in St Petersburg, alongside her work as a model and actress. She holds a BA in Finance and has a passion for sharing her knowledge with others.
