Her debut feature film, ACROSS THE SEA (2014),garnered widespread critical acclaim, earning multiple awards in Turkey and at international festivals such as Slamdance and the Milano Int. Film Festival. The film's theatrical release in Turkey was accompanied by a simultaneous release on Amazon Prime in the United States, showcasing Esra's ability to transcend geographical boundaries.
Throughout her career, Esra has been recognized by prestigious programs and organizations, including EAVE's Ties That Bind, Sundance Screenwriters' Lab (Istanbul),Meetings on the Bridge, IFP Film Week, Global Media Makers/Film Independent, Cine Qua Non Lab, and Stowe Story Lab. Her talent and dedication have also earned her a spot in the Berlinale Talent Program in 2018.
