Erin's early foray into acting began at the tender age of six, but it wasn't until she was eleven that the acting "bug" bit her once more. This time, it was after witnessing her mother's improv comedy performances at The Second City comedy club in Santa Monica, California. Erin became enamored with the world of show business and began attending her mother's comedy classes, even participating in improv on the Second City's "Main Stage" alongside Chris Barnes, a Second City alumnus.
As her interest in acting continued to grow, Erin's mother held an open audition for stand-up comics under the age of 18 at The World Famous Improv comedy club in Hollywood, where Erin wowed Bud Freeman and the press with her monologue. This marked the beginning of her stand-up comedy career, as she began performing at various clubs that would allow an 11-year-old to take the stage.
Erin's big break came when she auditioned and won second place on America's Funniest People. This achievement led to her securing a top agent and catapulting her career to new heights. She went on to land a starring role as the female lead in Nickelodeon's The Journey of Allan Strange, a position she held for several seasons.
However, Erin eventually decided to retire from acting to pursue her academic goals and attend college. Before departing the spotlight, she made a final appearance as Mandy Anderson in the slasher film Lover's Lane, showcasing her versatility as a talented young actress.
