Erik Bloomquist is a multi-talented individual with a impressive array of accomplishments, including being a two-time New England Emmy Award Winner for Outstanding Writer and Director. He is also a former Top 200 Director on HBO's Project Greenlight, which was a highly competitive and prestigious program.
As a series creator, executive producer, writer, director, editor, and lead actor, Erik is known for his work on The Cobblestone Corridor, a 2016 project that showcased his versatility and range. His feature films have played at numerous prominent festivals worldwide, including FrightFest, Screamfest, Hollyshorts, Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, Grimmfest, and Popcorn Frights, and have received nationwide theatrical releases and international distribution.
In addition to his work in film, Erik has also had a successful career as an actor, with regional theatre productions that include the world premiere of Rear Window, starring Kevin Bacon, the American premiere of Calendar Girls, and Tony-winner Darko Tresnjak's celebrated mounting of Hamlet at Hartford Stage.
Erik's educational background is also impressive, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Dance from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, where he graduated cum laude.
