Biography

Eric Fryer, a talented Canadian actor, hails from the bustling city of Scarborough, Ontario. His most notable role to date is undoubtedly his portrayal of the renowned activist and marathon runner, Terry Fox, in the 1983 HBO docudrama, The Terry Fox Story. Fox, who courageously attempted to cross Canada on foot to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, had lost a leg to the disease. Similarly, Fryer, too, had to cope with the loss of his real leg due to cancer and opted for a prosthetic limb. His exceptional performance in the film earned him a prestigious Genie Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, solidifying his status as a talented thespian. Despite his impressive debut, Fryer's acting career remained relatively quiet, with few notable roles to his credit. As a result, there is a significant dearth of information available about his life and work subsequent to his appearance in The Terry Fox Story.
