Bell's directorial debut, "Missing Sock," was released in 2004 and was named one of the "Top 10 Short Films" by Film Threat that year.

Building on the success of his short film, Bell went on to write, produce, and direct "The Bondage," which premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival and garnered multiple distribution offers.
