Biography

In 1966, he made his acting debut in the student short film "Primer día de clases" while studying Sciences and Techniques of Information at the Iberoamerican University. He joined Canal Ocho in 1968, participating in various productions such as the telenovela "Hermanos Coraje" and the program "Sábados de la Fortuna".

Roberto Gómez Bolaños hired him in 1972, and he was responsible for directing and creating special effects for his productions. In 1973, he directed and produced the series "El Chavo del Ocho" and "El Chapulín Colorado", holding the position until 1978 when he was replaced for unknown reasons.

These productions undoubtedly brought him fame. Meanwhile, in 1973, he also directed the series "Nosotros los pobres". In 1979, he directed his first film, "El Chanfle", related to the series "El Chavo del Ocho", and also directed the TV series "Odisea Burbujas".

In 1984, he directed the series "Hola México!!!", the telenovela "Te amo", and "Sí, mi amor". In 1986, he directed and produced the telenovela "Ave Fénix'. In the same year, he produced the series: "¡Anabel!" (1988),"TVO" (1991),"Y sin embargo... se mueve" (1994),"Pobre niña rica" (1995),"La vida de María Félix" (1992),"Atínale al Precio" (1997 and again in 2010),"100 mexicanos dijeron" (2001),"Espacio en blanco" (2006),and "Todo el mundo cree que sabe" (2009-2011).
