Elyse Mirto, a Detroit-born actress, embarked on a classical training journey at the prestigious Royal National Theatre of Great Britain. Prior to her professional debut, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University.
Elyse's career kicked off in Chicago, where she worked under the guidance of Tony Award-winning director Robert Falls at the Goodman Theatre. She then went on to star in productions at Chicago Shakespeare Rep, solidifying her reputation as a talented performer.
In Chicago, Elyse originated the role of Sue in Neil LaBute's critically acclaimed play, BASH. Her impressive performance earned her the 2009 York Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role for Nat Cassidy's thriller, "Any Day Now". The following year, she received a nomination in the same category and made her Off-Broadway debut.
Elyse has since appeared in numerous productions in Los Angeles, including performances at A Noise Within, Rubicon Theatre, The Geffen Playhouse, Boston Court, and The Mark Taper. Her extensive credits also include several TV series, studio and independent films, national commercials, voice overs, and audiobooks.
When not on stage or screen, Elyse enjoys splitting her time between New York and Los Angeles with her domestic partner, actor Bo Foxworth. A Libra with a sweet tooth, she is known for her serious chocolate addiction. In her free time, Elyse loves to dance, practicing the jitterbug and Lindy Hop. She is also an art enthusiast, enjoys music, yoga, and the thrill of Go-Karts. And, of course, did we mention her love for chocolate?
