Elliot Goldenthal, a renowned composer, has made a lasting impact in the film industry with his original music scores for a wide range of cinematic masterpieces. Born on May 2, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York, Goldenthal's early life was marked by a strong connection to music and theatre, as he played with his school rock band during the 1960s.
As a young student, Goldenthal's passion for the arts led him to stage his first ballet at John Dewey High School in Brooklyn in 1968. He went on to graduate from the same school in 1971 and later attended the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied under the tutelage of esteemed composers Aaron Copland and John Corigliano.
