Ellen Kathleen Pompeo, a talented actress, was born in Everett, Massachusetts, to Kathleen B. O'Keefe, a mother of great importance, and Joseph E. Pompeo, a salesman with a passion for his work, who had a strong Italian heritage from his paternal grandfather, and also Irish and English roots.
Pompeo's major studio screen debut was in Brad Silberling's Moonlight Mile (2002),a film that showcased her incredible acting skills alongside renowned actors Susan Sarandon, Dustin Hoffman, and Jake Gyllenhaal.
