Biography

Elizabeth Sung, a talented individual with a rich cultural heritage, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Hong Kong, where she fluently speaks Cantonese and Mandarin. Her passion for the performing arts led her to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from the prestigious Juilliard School. During her time at Juilliard, she had the opportunity to hone her craft and perfect her technique.

After completing her degree, Elizabeth went on to join the esteemed Alvin Ailey Dance Company, where she further refined her skills and gained valuable experience. Her love for the stage and screen led her to also study acting with the renowned Sanford Meisner and Milton Katselas.

In addition to her work in dance and acting, Elizabeth has also explored her creative side through filmmaking. She was a participant in the Directing Workshop for Women at the American Film Institute, where she wrote, directed, and produced her first award-winning film, Requiem, in 1995. This accomplishment marked the beginning of her journey as a filmmaker, and she continued to develop her skills through her graduate thesis film, The Water Ghost, which earned her a Master of Fine Arts degree in Directing from the AFI in 1998.

Throughout her career, Elizabeth Sung has demonstrated her versatility and dedication to her craft, excelling in various fields and pushing the boundaries of her creativity. Her unique blend of cultural influences, artistic talent, and passion for storytelling has made her a standout figure in the entertainment industry.
