Born in the City of Light, Paris, to a Polish father and an Australian mother of Irish descent, both of whom were accomplished dancers, Emma Debicki's early life was marked by a rich cultural heritage.
At the tender age of five, the Debicki family relocated to Melbourne, where Emma would spend her formative years alongside her two younger siblings.
As a young child, Emma developed a passion for ballet, and she went on to train as a dancer until she made the decision to pivot towards theatre.
A student at Huntingtower School in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, Emma achieved a remarkable feat, earning not one, but two perfect study scores in drama and English, and was subsequently crowned the school's dux upon her graduation in 2007.
Emma's academic prowess and artistic talent did not go unnoticed, and in 2010, she completed a degree in drama at the prestigious University of Melbourne's Victorian College of the Arts.
In recognition of her outstanding acting abilities, Emma was awarded the prestigious Richard Pratt Bursary in August 2009, a honor bestowed upon students in their second year of training who demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication to their craft.
