Elaine Hendrix, a talented actress, was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and spent her formative years in nearby Knoxville and Morristown. At the tender age of 15, she relocated with her divorced mother to Atlanta, Georgia, where she enrolled at the prestigious Northside School of Performing Arts.
Her early career began as a dancer and model, but after a life-altering accident involving a car while bicycling, she reluctantly bid farewell to her dance career. In 1992, she made the bold move to Los Angeles, where she quickly secured an agent just a month later.
With her sights set on stardom, Hendrix worked her way up from commercials to TV guest appearances, eventually landing a starring role in the 1995 Fox revival of the beloved sitcom Get Smart. Her impressive portfolio soon led to features, solidifying her status as a talented and versatile actress.
As an advocate for women in the entertainment industry, Hendrix is a proud member of Women in Film, Women in Theatre, and Women of Los Angeles. In her spare time, she has penned a short film, which she plans to direct at the end of 1999 or the beginning of 2000, pending a break in her hectic acting schedule.
When not on set, Hendrix can be found surrounded by her beloved pets – two birds, two turtles, and her new addition, a dog named Tiloc, whom she welcomed into her family in September 1999.
