Ehab Tarabieh, a Syrian-born filmmaker, was born in 1982, and his early years were marked by a passion for music. He began his educational journey by studying violin at the prestigious Academy of Music, where he honed his skills and laid the foundation for a future in the arts.
As his interests evolved, Tarabieh's path took a dramatic turn when he relocated to the Czech Republic, a country renowned for its rich cultural heritage. It was during this period that he discovered his true calling – filmmaking. He devoted himself to the craft, immersing himself in the world of cinema and learning the intricacies of storytelling through the lens.
In 2010, Tarabieh's professional journey took a significant turn when he joined the B'Tselem Centre, a renowned human rights organization. As a key coordinator, he played a pivotal role in the production of an amateur film that exposed the egregious violations of human rights and freedoms under Israeli occupation. This project not only showcased his filmmaking prowess but also demonstrated his unwavering commitment to using his art to raise awareness about pressing social issues.
