Ego Mikitas, a multifaceted individual of Greek/Russian descent, was born and raised in the Soviet Union, where he developed a strong foundation in the arts. After completing his high school education, he served his country as a special forces' sergeant in the Army.
Following his military service, Ego pursued higher education, obtaining a master's degree in TV journalism and a PhD in law. He also founded his own theatre company, "Twins", which marked the beginning of his artistic and producing career.
As a producer, Ego worked on numerous shows and theatrical performances in the Soviet Union until he was forced to leave his homeland and relocate to New Zealand with his four children. In 2015, he made the move to Bangkok, where he gained fame for his outstanding performance in the award-winning film "Bad Genius", which earned the title of "Movie of the Year" from the Thailand National Film Association.
Throughout his career, Ego has demonstrated his versatility as an actor, producer, and stage combat performer. He has appeared in over 100 television and film projects, including guest-starring roles on popular shows such as "The Blacklist", "Legends of Tomorrow", "Magnum PI", and "The OA II". His impressive resume also includes a recurring role on the FOX series "The Old Man", starring Jeff Bridges.
Ego holds a unique combination of citizenships, including US Green card, NZ citizenship, and Thailand's work permit. He is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the Television Academy, and has been approved as an official judge for the Emmys' daytime awards in 2024.
