Biography

Edward Judd, a renowned British character actor, was born to British parents in 1932 in the vibrant city of Shanghai, China, where his acting journey began as a teenager.

Before he had even reached the age of 16, Judd had already made his way to England, where he made his film debut in the 1948 production of "The Hideout". This was swiftly followed by appearances in "Maniacs on Wheels" (1949) and "The Outsider" (1948),showcasing his versatility and talent at a remarkably young age.

Throughout the 1950s, Judd established himself as a prominent figure on the English stage, while continuing to hone his craft in the film industry. As the 1960s dawned, he became increasingly associated with the science fiction genre, starring in a string of iconic films, including "X the Unknown" (1956),"The Day the Earth Caught Fire" (1961),"First Men in the Moon" (1964),"Island of Terror" (1966),and "Invasion" (1966).

Judd's career continued to evolve over the years, with sporadic appearances mostly in television, until the early 1990s, leaving behind a legacy as a talented and dedicated actor.
