Biography

Edward Fox's educational background was marked by his attendance at the prestigious Harrow school. However, his professional journey took an unexpected turn when he was dismissed from his job at Marks and Spencer due to his bold fashion sense, which featured a loud checked suit.

Fox's breakthrough in the entertainment industry came in 1973 with his role as the assassin in the film "Day of the Jackal." He then went on to make appearances in several notable films, including "Gandhi," "The Dresser," "Never Say Never Again," "The Wild Geese," and "The Shooting Party." His television career was also marked by his performances in the series "Edward and Mrs. Simpson," where he played the role of the king.

Today, Fox resides in the Maida Vale area of London with his wife, actress Joanna David, and their daughter Emilia, who was born in 1974.
