Edward Fatu, a renowned Samoan-American professional wrestler, was widely recognized by his stage name Umaga. Notably, he spent a significant portion of his career with World Wrestling Entertainment, where he garnered widespread acclaim.
As a member of the esteemed Anoa'i wrestling family, Fatu frequently collaborated with his cousin Matt Anoa'i, with whom he formed various tag teams, including The Island Boyz, the Samoan Gangstas, and 3-Minute Warning.
During his initial stint with WWE, Fatu was billed as Jamal, while Matt was introduced as Rosey. In late 2005, Fatu made a triumphant return to WWE, where he rebranded himself as Umaga.
Under this new persona, Fatu enjoyed an impressive undefeated streak on WWE's Raw brand for several months in 2006, before finally tasting defeat in January 2007. The following month, he secured his first WWE Intercontinental Championship title, and later repeated this feat in July 2007.
