Biography

Edgar Vivar, a renowned Mexican actor, is fondly remembered for his iconic roles as "Señor Barriga" and his son "Ñoño" in the beloved television series El Chavo, as well as his portrayal of "El Botija" in the popular shows El Chapulín Colorado and Chespirito.

In the year 1970, Chespirito, the renowned creator of these iconic characters, sought a robust individual to bring the characters of "Señor Barriga" ("Mr. Potbelly" in English) and Ñoño to life in his upcoming Televisa production of El Chavo. Vivar was subsequently hired for the role, and his performance would go on to become an integral part of Mexican television history.

Beyond his work in El Chavo, Vivar has also appeared in a variety of other films, including the 2006 action-comedy Bandidas and the 2007 horror-thriller El Orfanato.
