Dylan Neal, a renowned Canadian actor, was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and shortly after his birth, his family relocated to Oakville, a suburb west of Toronto, where he spent his childhood. At Appleby College, a prestigious prep school, he discovered his passion for squash and went on to represent Canada at the international level.
As he entered his teenage years, Neal decided to forgo a professional squash career and instead pursue his interest in drama. He enrolled in the drama program at Blakelock High School, where he was encouraged by his drama teacher to sign with a Toronto talent agent and begin auditioning professionally. This marked the beginning of his journey as a professional actor.
In 1992, Neal made the move to Los Angeles, where his career rapidly gained momentum. He resided in Los Angeles until 2006, when he relocated to Vancouver for the production of the Lifetime television series 'Blood Ties'. In 2011, he and his family returned to Los Angeles.
Throughout his career, Neal has become a recognizable face on television, having secured series regular roles in eight American television series, including 'The Bold and the Beautiful', 'Pacific Palisades', 'Hyperion Bay', and 'Blood Ties'. He has also had numerous recurring roles, such as his five-year stint on 'Dawson's Creek' and his portrayal of Aaron on 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch'.
Neal has had the privilege of working alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood and was offered the male lead role of Jack Griffith opposite Andie MacDowell in the television series 'Cedar Cove', which premiered on the Hallmark Channel in 2013. Starting in 2014, he began writing, executive producing, and starring in a series of TV movies called The Gourmet Detective for The Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel.
As a result of his extensive travel for work, Neal has had the opportunity to film in various locations worldwide, including Israel, Germany, China, the Caribbean, and throughout North America. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends and can often be found in his workshop, where he re-creates eighteenth- and nineteenth-century period furniture as an avid woodworker.
